Choir Day for the Vogelenzang senior choir

The Vogelenzang senior choir, part of Senioren Lieshout, is holding a choir day.

This day is dedicated to the choir's 50th anniversary, which was celebrated on 25 May this year. The choir day will be held in the main hall of the village hall. 

In addition to the Vogelenzang Senior Choir, four other choirs from the area will perform. These are the Sint Joachim Senior Choir from Beek en Donk, Vrolijk zingen wij from Erp, the Marcanto Mixed Choir from Mariahout and Amicitia from Asten-Heusden. The afternoon will be opened by Mayor Lianne van der Aa, after which the choir's chairman, Mr Willy van de Ven, will address those present. Each choir will perform six songs. During the interval, raffle tickets will be sold with attractive prizes. The afternoon will be presented by the conductor of the Vogelenzang Senior Choir, Mr Arie Ketelaars. The board of the Vogelenzang Senior Choir hopes for a wonderful musical afternoon. Incidentally, the board is currently very concerned about the choir's future. They are urgently looking for a new conductor and pianist, as the current conductor is leaving at the end of the year. Every Monday afternoon, the choir members rehearse with great enthusiasm and it would be a shame if the choir had to stop.
