Entry of Sinterklaas Mariahout

Mid-November sees the entry of St Nicholas into Mariahout. The Sint and his Pieten leave from the Buurthuis for a tour through the streets of Mariahout.
He will start at the Buurthuis in Mariahout, and then follow the route Bernadettestraat, Wilhelminastraat, Julianast…
Mid-November sees the entry of St Nicholas into Mariahout. The Sint and his Pieten leave from the Buurthuis for a tour through the streets of Mariahout.
He will start at the Buurthuis in Mariahout, and then follow the route Bernadettestraat, Wilhelminastraat, Julianastraat, Bernadettestraat, Talingstraat, Knapersven and via Bernadettestraat he will return to the Buurthuis. Harmonie St Caecilia will provide the music during the tour and along the way the Pieten will provide fun and sporty tasks for the children along the route. Because St Nicholas really likes it when there are lots of children along the route, there will be a colouring-in campaign again this year. All children who hand in the colouring in page which they have received or picked up at school, Ukkepuk or the Peuterzaal can win a nice prize. Be sure to put your name on the colouring page.
After his tour, Saint Nicholas will be in the large hall of the community centre for children up to grade 5. There, the mayor will welcome Saint Nicholas. Children from group 6 to 8 are welcome in the small room of the community centre for the Sinterklaas bingo, where they can win great prizes.
