King's Day Beek and Donk

King's Day in Beek en Donk will be a celebration with children at the forefront. 

King's Day is one of the highlights of the year in the Netherlands, and Beek en Donk is certainly no exception. This year, children will take centre stage during a festive day full of activities and fun. The King will celebrate his birthday with a colourful and vibrant day in the Beek en Donk Music and Village Garden!

What is there to do? Creative start: at the Meeting Centre, children can decorate bicycles, make instruments, craft flags and, of course, make the most beautiful royal crowns. Orange parade: a festive parade led by Harmonie O&U and Gilde will depart from the Meeting Centre with the festively decorated Orange Festival in the Music Garden. Grand children's flea market: children can sell their own items for small prices at the cosy flea market. Official opening: the youth mayor will give the starting signal for the festive Orange Festival in a special way. Performances: enjoy music and dance by Dede Dance, Harmonie O&U, and a spectacular surprise performance. Sports, games and relaxation: various clubs challenge the children to participate in sporting games. Workshops: take part in painting and dancing and discover your talent! Fun for children: have your face painted and transform into your favourite character, then have your photo taken together! Catering: enjoy lemonade, soft drinks, coffee, tea and treats. Royal atmosphere: the ladies of De Zijden Draad have beautifully decorated De Muziektuin in King's Day style.
