Music garden concert

The MuziektuinPodium Foundation is holding a concert afternoon in the Music Garden of Beek en Donk.

The programme will be opened by the Helmond Senior Harmony Orchestra, a special harmony orchestra with an extensive repertoire of both classical and popular music. The orchestra is under the musical direction of conductor Marion van Eijk.

Next up is the Pizzicato Guitar Club from Zijtaart. The club was started over twenty years ago by a group of enthusiastic members. The music covers a variety of styles, with today's Top 40 music being particularly enjoyable to play, but the Oldies are also popular. The whole event is under the musical direction of Dayenne Barten-van der Linden.

This will be followed by a performance by the Laarbeeks duo Evrin, consisting of jazz and blues singer Eefje Terschegget and singer-songwriter Riny Raijmakers. They met twelve years ago and decided to combine their different influences in a folk Rootsy mix of Americana, Blues, Jazz and Country. They will take you back to the 70s, 60s and sometimes even decades further back in time.

The programme will be concluded by BBC Jazz from Beek en Donk. The orchestra has grown into a jazz orchestra that plays varied and swinging sounds under the direction of conductor Pierre Heesakkers. BBC Jazz has embarked on the path of jazz music in its broadest sense. Rock, swing and blues songs are interspersed with Latin and funk.
