Moeraslopen in de Peel - Swamp Walk
Led by an enthusiastic guide, a group of swamp walks through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Brabant.
Beautiful peat canals, old bridges, a protected village view, the Golden Helmet and the Koningshoeven. That is the charm of Helenaveen! The picturesque village that arose as a peat colony still offers much charm today. Partly thanks to the beautiful location between the Deurnese and Mariapeel nature reserves, there is still real natural enjoyment here.
Into the Peel
Under the guidance of a guide, you will enter the Peel and see with your own eyes why Helenaveen has previously become 'the greenest village in the Netherlands'. Remember to wear sturdy shoes. You walk through former swamp area and it can sometimes get wet under your feet! The walk is partly on beaten paths, partly on untrodden paths.
