Monument Diamanttafel in Someren

The Diamond Table shows the tension between nature and culture with regard to the compromises that must be made with nature in expansion plans. The eleven diamonds are of different sizes and refer to the different facets of a decision-making process.
The diamonds are in four fields. It also refers to the four cores, which together form the municipality of Someren. The diamond is a natural product that has been elevated to a high-quality cultural product with both industrial and decorative applications. The artwork was made in 1996 by artist Kees Verbeek from Eindhoven.
