The Holy Blood Mission convent offers a familiar sight in the landscape around Aarle-Rixtel. Whether you go there on foot, come by bike or by car, you can see the convent from afar. But it is more than a landmark, it has also been an inseparable part of the community for generations. Many children were altar boys there, received piano lessons from a sister, and beautiful embroidery on linens was also delivered to order by the sisters. The sisters living there, the Sisters of the Precious Blood, were particularly trained to go out into the world as missionary sisters. Initially, the sisters almost all came from Austria and Bavaria. The language of instruction in the convent was therefore German. The sisters were sent out to all corners of the world to serve and help where needed.

For Women's Society Laarbeek e.o., it is a unique opportunity to hear more about a special piece of local and global history. Would you like to get to know the Women's Society in a relaxed, informal way? Come and listen, ask your questions, and get inspired! The meeting is at the Couwenbergh. The cost includes two cups of coffee. Registration is fine, but you can of course just walk in. Also take a look at www.vrouwensociëteitlaarbeek.nl for more information.
