Piet Maandonks of the Center for Sleep Medicine will give a lecture on sleep and sleep disorders.
A good night's sleep seems self-evident, but that's not the case for everyone. Anyone who has trouble sleeping for a long time and finds themselves tired, irritable, or less focused during the day may be dealing with a sleep disorder. The causes vary, as do the consequences for daily functioning. Yet, the connection between daytime complaints and sleep quality is often underestimated. That's precisely why the Women's Society Laarbeek and surroundings is organizing a lecture that sheds light on this topic in a clear and accessible way.

Because how well do we really sleep – and what can we do to improve it? During this lecture, on Tuesday morning, March 3rd, Piet Maandonks of the Center for Sleep Medicine of the Kempenhaeghe Foundation in Heeze will introduce listeners to the world of sleep and sleep disorders. In a clear and practical presentation, he will discuss the origins of sleep problems, the various forms they occur, and their impact on body and mind. Using relatable examples and concrete insights, he will offer tools for managing sleep and health more consciously.
It promises to be an inspiring morning, especially for awake women curious about their own sleep and vitality. Because the question is: do you actually sleep as well as you think? And if not, what can be improved? The lecture will take place at the Women's Society's home base: De Couwenbergh in Aarle-Rixtel. The fee includes two cups of coffee or tea. Arrival is half an hour before the lecture begins. For more information and to register, please visit the contact page on the Women's Society Laarbeek website.
