Aarle-Rixtel is once again all about King's Day.
The day begins with the traditional flea market around the Couwenberg. Do you have any toys or other fun items to sell, have you baked your own cookies, or do you play an instrument? Then make sure you are ready with a blanket! Naturally, there will also be all kinds of garlands and decorations for your bicycle or go-kart. So come and decorate them in the most beautiful way, and you might just walk away with a prize. Additionally, there are props for the most beautiful official portrait. The Scouts are also participating again with a cool activity. At 12:45 PM, accompanied by the musical performance of the De Goede Hoop brass band, the parade of decorated bicycles will depart through the village. The route passes by care centers Mariëngaarde and Zonnetij, among others, where residents will be treated to a cheerful serenade. Around 1:30 PM, the procession returns to the kiosk on the Couwenberg, where residents who received a royal distinction this year will be put in the spotlight. From 2:00 PM onwards, various activities will follow, such as traditional Dutch games, a covered wagon ride, face painting, sidewalk chalk drawing, a rodeo bull, and an open stage for local talent. Would you like to participate in this open stage? Then sign up quickly via info@oranjecomiteaarlerixtel.nl. In addition to good weather, the Orange Committee hopes for a large turnout to make it another successful King's Day together.
