Brabant Nature Gates are the starting points for a day out in nature. You can recognise them by the tall key at the entrance. Every nature gate lies on the junction network for cyclists, walkers, horse riders and mountain bikers. Each one has free parking, a place to eat and drink, and an information board with routes. Land van de Peel has three of them. Natuurpoort De Peel in Deurne lies on the edge of the Deurnese Peel. Natuurpoort Nederheide in Milheeze is near the Stippelberg estate, and Natuurpoort Vennenhorst in Someren is on the Strabrechtse Heide. Start your walk, bike ride or mountain bike trip here and finish on the terrace.
Natuurpoort De Peel, Deurne
Natuurpoort De Peel is on the Leegveld, on the edge of the Deurnese Peel. From here you can walk or cycle straight into the peatland. De Groote Peel National Park, the Deurnese Peel and the Mariapeel were once a single impassable peat bog. Peat cutters dug away most of the peat, and it disappeared into stoves as the gold of the Peel. What remains is a landscape of water, heath, sand ridges, birches and open plains. It is also one of the richest bird areas in Western Europe. After your trip, the terrace awaits with regional products from the neighbours on the Leegveld.

Natuurpoort Nederheide, Milheeze
Natuurpoort Nederheide is the starting point for the Stippelberg estate. Walk across the heath, cycle through the extensive forests and come face to face with Highland cattle. The countless small hills in the forest are called stippels. They were formed centuries ago by drifting sand. Hotel Restaurant Nederheide has a terrace overlooking the recreational lake with its sandy beach and playground. There is plenty to do for young and old.

Natuurpoort Vennenhorst
From Natuurpoort Vennenhorst you are on the Strabrechtse Heide in no time. It is the largest continuous heathland in North Brabant. Many cycling and walking routes start here. Horses, cows, sheep and Highland cattle graze in the area. Mountain bikers and horse riders will find an extensive route network.

Allemansroutes Someren
Seven signposted walking routes, created together with the Allemanswerkgroep Someren so everyone can join in. They are flat, safe and free of major obstacles, and you can use them with a wheelchair, pushchair or mobility scooter. Each route takes you to a different part of Someren and always brings you back to the centre. Choose a short or a long loop.

Strabrechtse Heide cycle route
Follow the junctions from Someren to the heath and the Beuven. It is at its most beautiful in August, when the heather is in bloom.
