Cycle route Natural History Asten
You cycle through areas with meadows and greenhouses. In Asten-Heusden, a visit to the botanical garden behind the church is highly recommended.
Once upon a time, the Heerheid Asten was governed from the castle. Now it is a ruin with a castle farm that is more than worth a visit (note: cannot be visited individually, but through a (group) tour or summer evening tour in July and August).
You also pass old neighbourhoods, forests and areas that were reclaimed from the wild Peel in the 19th and 20th centuries.

The starting point and end point of this cycle route is Museum Klok & Peel. You can charge your electric bicycle there during your museum visit and / or break in the cozy Museum Café or on the outdoor terrace in the museum gardens. An ANWB bicycle repair kit can also be borrowed at the museum reception. Are you by car? Then you can park it for free in the spacious parking lot, where two electric charging points are also available. Do not forget to visit the museum shop, where cycling and walking routes are also available.
