The guild can show itself in all its glory on Jan. 18. The sound of the drums of the drummers, who called at guild brothers and elders Saturday's marching day still echoes in the ears of members at the Handel part of the former municipality of Gemert. All members throughout Gemert have been visited by two verzuukers (inviting guild brothers) and have paid their debts to the guild to them.
Saturday, Jan. 18, will be a tough day for the guild brothers, who must be present at the captain's house as early as 7:30 a.m. to consume the generous breakfast. He will be rewarded for this with a flag salute in recognition of his leadership during performances, although there have been very few since 2020.

Saturday, Jan. 20, will be a hard day for the guild brothers, who must be present at the captain's house as early as 7:30 a.m. to consume the generous breakfast. At 9:30 a.m., the Guild Mass will begin at the Church of St. John the Baptist, graced for the first time this year by the parish men's choir. Pastor Isaag Jesudass will bless the guild's new guild flag during this Mass and will be honored with a flag salute after the Mass. That tribute also applies to Mayor Michiel van Veen when the guild arrives at the town hall. Traditionally, the guild is treated to a glass of (light) green wine by him.
Then it is the guild's jubilarians' turn to be honored. Everything is then prepared in the guild house for the private meeting, which begins with the singing of the St. Anthony's song, followed by the election of a new dean as the first item. Traditionally, the nomination consists of three people, the first person being the candidate. When the guild drum sounds over Ridderplein, the choice is known and a messenger from the guild goes to announce the choice to the candidate, his family and the neighborhood chairman. At half past three, the installation will take place, after which they will march to the guild house with - hopefully - congratulations on the way to the young man accompanied by a Gemert guild tradition; a drink as a token of congratulations.
At the guild house, the new hospes - or is it two? - is offered a flag salute.
At 7 p.m. the guild brothers and sisters join the guests at table , because at 9 p.m. the reception guests come to the guild house and hands are shaken - it is allowed again - as a sign of congratulations. At 9:30 p.m. the guild evening begins with unknown closing time.
Sunday morning at 11 a.m. the guild brothers and sisters come to the parish church to remember the deceased members of all years. Then they visit the sister guild house for a cup of coffee and clean up is done in their own guild house.
