Library de Lage Beemden brings the Travelling Brushes Exhibition to Laarbeek. Eight impressive canvases can be admired in the living room of the Ontmoetingscentrum in Beek en Donk. The large canvases feature the very best children's book illustrations from 2023!
A quirky look at the history of mankind, an adventure about following your dreams and a voyage of discovery through the human body: everything passes by in the Brushes exhibition. The styles and subjects of the illustrations are very different, but they all make you curious about the books they come from.
Quiz
There is a fun quiz for children aged 6 to 12. By answering the questions, they will be introduced to the eight wonderful children's books belonging to the exhibition. They will also have a chance to win a cool prize!

Silver and Golden Brushes
Every year, the Illustration Embassy awards prizes to the best illustrated children's books of the past year. The exhibition shows the original illustrations of the 2023 winners: The Fan Brothers, Djenné Fila, Joëlle Jolivet, Martijn van der Linden, Marieke Nelissen, Annet Schaap, Hanneke Siemensma and Sydney Smith.
