Vivaldi's Gloria is one of the most famous and beloved vocal compositions. This ode to the Creator is a multifaceted work, with a range of ever-changing tempos, moods and emotions.
Chamber choir Cantique will perform all 12 movements, supported by a composite orchestra consisting of violins, cello, oboe, piano, bass and trumpet, conducted by Jacqueline Wezenberg. And two soloists, Margot Pagels (soprano), Ginette Kals (alto). The whole is under the inspiring direction of Antoine Kop. Before the Gloria in D major by the choir, the above-mentioned orchestra will play the concerto in D minor by Vivaldi. Cantique will give two performances: on 13 April at 20.00 in the St.Jans Onthoofdingkerk in Gemert and on 14 April at 15.00 in the O.L.Vrouwe Presentatiekerk in Aarle-Rixtel. You cannot buy tickets.
