Art stage ‘t Oude Raadhuis cordially invites you to the exhibition of Margriet Monster, a promising photographer from Bakel. At 25 years old, Margriet already has an impressive journey behind her in the world of photography.

Her passion for capturing images began at the age of 16 when she started her education at Sint Lucas in Eindhoven. After four years there, she obtained her diploma and decided to further develop her skills with a professional bachelor's degree at the Luca School of Arts, Narafi campus in Brussels. She is currently working on her Master of Fine Arts, photography at the Luca School of Arts in Genk.

Margriet gets her inspiration from everyday moments and objects. She finds beauty in the banal things and moments that are often overlooked. Her work is characterised by the stratification in her images, evoking different interpretations from the viewer. Margriet always manages to incorporate a touch of humour in her pictures, which makes her work accessible and inviting. In addition to her creative vision, Margriet attaches great importance to the technical aspects of photography. She strives for perfect lighting and execution, as she believes these elements can enhance the power of an image and convey the message more effectively.

With her photography, Margriet aims not only to tell stories, but also to ask questions and spark discussions. She is convinced that art is a powerful tool to connect people and raise important issues. The exhibition is open every Saturday and Sunday and during the opening hours of the gift shop Knus bij Marie. Come and enjoy this last exhibition of this season too.
