O&U presents: Feel it!

The Percussion Ensemble A of the Koninklijke Harmonie Oefening en Uitspanning from Beek en Donk presents the exchange concert 'Feel it' in Muziekcentrum Het Anker. It promises to be an exciting evening, with them collaborating with the percussion group Koninklijke Harmonie Echo der Kempen from Bergeijk and the percussion group Koninklijke Fanfare Philharmonie Leende.

The event offers a varied programme. To give you a taste, they are already sharing some highlights of the pieces the Percussion Ensemble A will perform. The evening opens with a lively marimba piece, playfully introducing this versatile instrument with its various sounds and playing possibilities. Next, Freek van der Heijden as soloist takes the marimba sound to the next level in the piece 'Leyenda', accompanied by subtle percussion sounds from within the ensemble. Next, the audience is taken into an impressive interpretation of a Scottish-English battle with the piece 'Rebellion', which tells the story of the battle at Culloden in 1746, with a layout for the battle, the intensity of the battle and a moving 'In Memoriam'.

After this intense experience, it is time for lighter music in Glitzville, where the sun always shines. Finally, a big hit by a well-known Dutch band is performed, which expresses the hope of never having to go to war again. This piece may have contributed to the success of the Dutch gymnasts at the Olympics.
