Extras wanted

The director of Mayor's Murder is looking for extras for a film. The film 'Burgemeestersmoord' will premiere on Friday, September 20. The film is about the murder of war mayors Smulders and Wijnen of Someren and Asten and is set in the period August 1943 until the liberation on 5 May 1945. Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-van-Lourdeskerk in Mariahout is one of the locations where filming will take place in the coming months. The production team is looking for extras for the filming in the church. 

Don't you just love going to the cinema, but would you like to play in a film yourself for once? Then you have your chance now! Two scenes will be shot in the church of Mariahout for the film 'Mayor's Murder'; a wedding scene and a scene about a raid and the theft of bells. Germans raided churches in World War II and confiscated the bells, melting them down into war gear. The production team also wants to involve the residents of Mariahout and surrounding villages in the shooting of the film and is looking for people who would like to feature. Especially shoes. The website shows examples of clothing from the war years at the bottom of the registration form.
