Niels Geusebroek

In 2018 speelde Niels de grootste hits van Coldplay met zijn band in de uitverkochte popzalen en in 2023 gingen meer dan 10.000 mensen naar de Coldplay shows in theater. Eind 2024 gaat de tour op reprise en dat belooft weer een groot feest te worden.

Niels Geusebroek was in het begin van zijn carrière de frontman van de band Silkstone en was daarmee al te zien op festivals als Lowlands & Pinkpop. Bij het grote publiek brak Niels in 2011 door na zijn deelname aan The Voice. Snel daarna volgde zijn eerste hit Year of Summer, waarvoor hij samen met Wildstylez een gouden plaat ontving en in 2013 volgde ook zijn eerste solo-hit Take Your Time Girl dat met platina werd bekroond. Sindsdien is Niels niet meer weg te denken uit de Nederlandse muziekscene.

The immensely popular band Coldplay is very important for many Dutch people, including Niels Geusebroek. According to Niels, a Dutch singer-songwriter, Coldplay is a timeless band particularly because of their first albums ‘Parachutes,’ ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head,’ ‘X&Y,’ and ‘Viva La Vida. “To be able to draw from all the beauty that Coldplay has created feels like being a kid in a candy store. It is a true pleasure to play those songs in a theater setting.” In 2018, Niels and his band played Coldplay’s greatest hits in sold-out pop venues. And in 2023, more than 10,000 people visited the Coldplay shows in the Dutch theaters. End 2024, Niels started the repeat tour, which promises to be another big party. 

Niels Geusenbroek started his career as lead singer of the band Silkstone, playing at festivals like Lowlands & Pinkpop. He gained widespread recognition after he participated in The Voice of Holland in 2011. Shortly after, he released his first hit ‘Year of Summer’ jointly with Wildstylez, which was awarded with a golden record. In 2013, he released his first solo hit ‘Take Your Time Girl’, which went platinum. Since then, Niels has been an indispensable part of the Dutch music scene.
