Monuments in Asten walking tour

(2.8 km)

In the fifteenth century a man lives in the center of Asten who calls himself Jan die smet vander Diesdunc, after a hamlet near Asten. Almost six centuries later, Jan's traces are still present. In the church of the Holy Mary Presentation hangs a bell from 1447, on which this name is written. As a reminder of our historic Jan, a statue of him has been placed on the Koningsplein. This walk through the village starts here, which you can walk yourself on the basis of the richly illustrated brochure with photos and detailed route description! The booklet Walking through Asten is availble at VVV Asten for free.
